New Bow, new equipment! 12/14/23
Yes, that's right! No more High Country Archery Ascension XR! So before I get to the new bow, I'll elaborate a little about the High Country: First, I've never been very accurate with a shorter bow. And especially a short speed bow. I know the HCA Ascension XR isn't considered a short bow by today's standards. But it just wasn't for me. I found over the months of shooting the HCA that I would shoot a 20 target 3D tournament and have 17 great shots, or at least they would be acceptable for my abilities, and I would have 3 shots that would be way over yonder somewhere and for the life of me I couldn't figure out why? I ended up winning a couple tournaments with the HCA. But at the same time, it basically took me 6 months to reach the same level of accuracy I had with the Bowtech Fanatic 3.0. Additionally, I fixed up the old Hoyt Provantage and I couldn't achieve the same scores for indoor practice rounds with the HCA that I could with a 30 something year ...
